Origin & Story

This Tazrirt Collection runner has the playful, hand-drawn character often associated with Azilal-style and Boujad-style weaving. We describe it by its design and do not attribute it to a specific tribe or region. Its narrow format suits it to hallways and long, slim spaces.

Design & Visual Identity

The runner reads as a sequence of panels. A sage block with three small ochre diamonds sits at one end, followed by a long yellow field crossed by a thin diamond outline. Further along, yellow and sage squares alternate around open diamonds, a comb-like motif and small goblet shapes.

At the far end, a checkered band in yellow, ochre, sage and ivory is topped by a stepped, pointed motif. A border of short ochre and sage bars runs along both long edges, and the ends are finished with ivory fringe. The reverse is a flat weave in soft pink and green tones.

Craftsmanship & Materials

Handwoven from 100% wool, the runner has a soft, fairly long pile and vivid dyed color. Lines and motifs are drawn freely, so no two sections repeat. Each piece is made to order, and the sequence of panels may vary with the length you choose.

Styling Your Space

Use it to bring color to a hallway, a kitchen or the space beside a bed. Yellow and sage sit well with pale wood, white walls and terracotta. In a larger room, a runner can also mark a path between two seating areas.

Care & Everyday Use

Vacuum on a suction-only setting and avoid running over the tassels. Blot spills promptly with a clean cloth, working from the edge toward the center. Keep the rug out of prolonged direct sunlight to protect the colors, and rotate it from time to time. Leave deep cleaning to a wool rug specialist.
