Origin & Story

This Tazrirt Collection runner belongs to the colorful patchwork style often associated with Boujad weaving. We describe it by its design and do not attribute it to a specific tribe or region. Its narrow shape and lively color suit corridors and bedside spaces.

Design & Visual Identity

The blocks are roughly brick-shaped and laid in loose rows. Colors are scattered irregularly, so no two stretches of the runner look alike: pink beside charcoal, blue beside yellow, gray beside violet. Toward one end the blocks lengthen into vertical bars.

A plain apricot band runs along both long sides and widens at the top, where a pink arrow-like motif with gray and charcoal wings points toward the end. The opposite end carries an apricot band and ivory fringe. The reverse is a flat weave in apricot with stripes of the same colors.

Craftsmanship & Materials

Handwoven from 100% wool, the runner has a thick, shaggy pile with a looped texture. Each block is placed by eye, and the color sequence is improvised. Every runner is made to order, so the arrangement of colors will be different each time.

Styling Your Space

Let this runner bring color to a calm room: white walls, pale wood and gray or cream upholstery. It works in a hallway, beside a bed or along the front of a sofa. Pick one of its colors for a cushion or a throw to connect it to the room.

Care & Everyday Use

Vacuum with suction only and without a beater bar, which can pull long pile. Shake the rug out occasionally to lift the fibers, and expect some shedding at first. Blot spills at once with a dry cloth and avoid rubbing. Rotate the rug every few months and use a wool rug specialist for deep cleaning.

Custom sizes are available, including longer or wider runner formats. The rug is woven to order and the pattern is repeated or spaced to suit the length you choose. Measure the hallway or room before ordering and leave a margin of floor on each side. Slight variations in color and line are part of the handmade character.
