Origin & Story

This Tazrirt Collection runner follows the ivory ground and fine black diamonds often linked with Beni Ourain weaving, adapted to a long, narrow format. We present it as a Moroccan wool runner in that style and do not attribute it to a specific tribe or region.

Design & Visual Identity

The diamonds are tall and narrow, joined tip to tip so the black line zigzags continuously along the runner. Their points almost reach the borders. Inside and around them, the ivory wool is left plain.

Along each long edge, a band of fine black and ivory stripes is cut into a sawtooth outline that points inward. The short ends finish with a row of small black dashes and a braided black and ivory cord that ends in a tassel at each corner. The reverse is a flat ribbed weave showing the same lines.

Craftsmanship & Materials

Handwoven from 100% wool, the runner has a thick, soft pile with a slightly pebbled surface. The diamonds are drawn by hand, so their width and the weight of the line vary a little. Each runner is made to order, and the number of diamonds follows the length.

Styling Your Space

The quiet pattern suits hallways, bedsides and long kitchens, and it can sit under a narrow dining table. Ivory and black work with warm wood floors, rattan and leather. Because the field is light, it brightens corridors with little daylight.

Care & Everyday Use

Vacuum gently with suction only and keep clear of the fringe. On a light ground, deal with spills immediately: blot with a dry white cloth and avoid rubbing. Rotate the rug every few months and limit strong direct sunlight. Ask a wool rug specialist for deeper cleaning.
