Origin & Story

This Tazrirt Collection rug is about texture. It leaves out contrast color entirely and relies on Moroccan wool, woven at two heights, to carry the pattern. We do not attribute it to a specific tribe or region; the description here is based on what the photographs show.

Design & Visual Identity

Seen from above, the rug is a field of beige with a faint geometric map across it. Chevrons, stepped bands and hexagonal outlines are formed where long pile meets low flat weave. The pattern is clearest in raking light and softens when the pile is brushed in another direction.

A turned-back corner shows the reverse, where the same geometry appears as flat stripes in two close shades of beige. Narrow woven bands finish the short ends in place of fringe, and a braided tassel hangs from each corner. Close up, the pile is long and slightly tousled.

Craftsmanship & Materials

Handwoven from 100% wool, the rug pairs a long, shaggy pile with low woven channels. This construction gives a deep, cushioned feel and a surface that changes with the light. Each piece is made to order, and the relief pattern will vary a little in line and spacing.

Styling Your Space

Because it carries no contrast color, this rug fits almost any palette. Use it to add warmth and texture to a room with strong furniture or art, or layer it into a calm scheme of cream, sand and wood. It suits bedrooms and seating areas where a soft surface matters.

Care & Everyday Use

Vacuum on a low suction setting without a rotating brush, which can pull long pile. Shake the rug out occasionally to lift the fibers. Blot spills at once with a dry cloth and avoid rubbing them into the pile. Rotate the rug every few months and use a wool rug specialist for deep cleaning.

Custom sizes are available. The rug is woven to order and the relief pattern is redrawn to suit your width and length. Check your measurements before ordering and allow for the height of the pile under doors. Shade, pile length and pattern detail may differ slightly from the photographs.
