Origin & Story

This Tazrirt Collection rug pairs Moroccan wool weaving with a contemporary, line-driven design. The pattern is drawn by a change in height: wool pile rises in bands while the charcoal ground stays flat between them. We describe it by what the photographs show and do not attribute it to a specific tribe or region.

Design & Visual Identity

A warm peach field covers the rug from edge to edge, divided by charcoal lines into parallel bands. The bands turn at sharp angles to form chevrons, nested hexagons and octagons, and blocks of straight stripes set side by side. No section repeats exactly, so the surface reads as one continuous labyrinth.

The peach bands sit above the dark woven ground, so each line is edged by a small shadow. A folded corner reveals the reverse, where the same geometry appears as a flat weave in pale peach and charcoal. A narrow dark edge frames the rug, and cream braided tassels run along both short ends.

Craftsmanship & Materials

Handwoven from 100% wool, this rug combines a thick, soft pile with flat-woven channels. The difference in height gives the pattern its relief and a cushioned feel underfoot. Each piece is made to order, so line placement, tone and pile density vary slightly from one rug to the next while the overall composition stays the same.

Styling Your Space

Place it under a sofa and coffee table, or beside a bed where the texture is felt underfoot. Peach and charcoal sit well with light oak, travertine, off-white upholstery and matte black metal. Plain furniture and solid-colored textiles leave room for the pattern.

Care & Everyday Use

Vacuum with suction only and keep the brush bar off the pile and the fringe. Blot spills at once with a clean, dry cloth and avoid rubbing.
