Origin & Story

This Tazrirt Collection rug combines a bold color with a carved, two-level construction in Moroccan wool. Its chevrons and stepped bands appear across the collection's other relief designs. We do not attribute it to a specific tribe or region.

Design & Visual Identity

Coral pink covers the rug, shifting between salmon and deeper rose as the pile changes direction. Cream lines show wherever the weave drops low, outlining chevrons, hexagonal shapes and short stepped bars. In places the cream opens into wider patches, which gives the pattern an irregular, hand-cut look.

The reverse, visible at a folded corner, is a flat weave of pink and cream stripes that mirrors the front. Narrow woven bands in the same two colors finish the short ends, and each corner carries a braided tassel. Close up, the pile is long and soft, with the cream weave visible at its base.

Craftsmanship & Materials

Handwoven from 100% wool, the rug sets a long pile against flat-woven lines. The height difference creates the pattern and gives the surface a plush, uneven texture. Each piece is made to order; expect small variations in the shade of pink and in the placement of the cream lines.

Styling Your Space

Use the rug as the main color in a room and keep the surroundings quiet: cream sofas, pale wood, white walls. It also works with terracotta, rattan and plenty of plants for a warmer, more relaxed scheme. In a bedroom it adds color at floor level without competing with bedding.

Care & Everyday Use

Vacuum with suction only, since rotating brushes can catch long pile and tassels. Blot spills promptly with a clean white cloth and avoid rubbing. Keep the rug out of prolonged direct sunlight to protect the pink, and rotate it from time to time. Deep cleaning is best left to a wool rug specialist.
