Origin & Story

This Tazrirt Collection rug draws on the diamond motifs and scattered symbols often linked with Beni Ourain and Azilal-style weaving, set on a colored ground. We describe it as a Moroccan wool rug in that style without attributing it to a specific tribe or region.

Design & Visual Identity

The field shades from pale blush at the top to a deeper salmon pink at the bottom. In the upper half, a pair of diamonds with ivory centers is framed by concentric black lines, with a smaller diamond above and fields of black dots to either side. Fine black lines trace a larger lattice around them.

The lower half carries two big diamonds filled with a black and white heather, each outlined several times in black and ivory. Open triangles point up from the bottom edge, and small symbols sit in the gaps. A dotted black and ivory band and knotted fringe finish the end.

Craftsmanship & Materials

Handwoven from 100% wool, the rug has a long, soft pile. The reverse shows the line work clearly on a ribbed pink ground, and the edge is bound in a black and ivory braid. Each piece is made to order, so the motifs and the depth of pink will vary slightly.

Styling Your Space

Blush pink works as a warm neutral with cream, beige and light wood, and the charcoal diamonds keep it from feeling sweet. Use it in a living room with pale upholstery, in a bedroom or under a desk. It also suits terracotta floors and white plaster walls.
