Origin & Story

This Tazrirt Collection rug combines the ivory-and-dark grid often linked with Beni Ourain weaving with a two-level texture. The lines sit lower than the pile, so the pattern can be felt as well as seen. We do not attribute it to a specific tribe or region.

Design & Visual Identity

Long vertical lines run the length of the rug, and shorter horizontal lines connect them at irregular heights. The result is a grid of rectangles that vary from narrow bricks to wide slabs. The lines are a salt-and-pepper mix of black and ivory yarn.

Scattered across the grid are several solid triangles in the same heathered charcoal, each replacing half of a block. They point in different directions. A braided black and ivory cord edges the rug, with a small tassel at the corners.

Craftsmanship & Materials

Handwoven from 100% wool, the rug pairs a thick, plush pile with flat-woven lines. The ivory blocks stand up like small cushions between the darker channels. Each piece is made to order, and the layout of blocks and triangles will differ from one rug to the next.

Styling Your Space

The neutral palette fits modern, Mediterranean and classic rooms equally well. It sits naturally with gray or beige sofas, pale wood and stone. Position the rug so at least a few of the triangles remain uncovered.

Care & Everyday Use

Vacuum regularly on a suction-only setting, without a rotating brush. Blot spills straight away with a clean, dry cloth and do not scrub. Rotate the rug periodically so it wears evenly, and place a rug pad underneath for grip. For a full clean, consult a specialist experienced with wool rugs.
