Named after Tafraout and its pink granite valley, this piece places a large triangle of plain sand-coloured kilim, bordered with a purple zigzag, against a field of soft plaid weaves in brown, rose and grey-blue. A small panel of blue and white striped kilim sits at its foot.
Made by hand, one of a kind
Every piece in this collection starts in our workshop with handwoven kilim: old and new weaves in colours and patterns that will never come together the same way twice. We cut them, arrange them and stitch them by hand into one composition, then finish the edge with a cotton border so it hangs flat and clean. The piece in the photos is the exact piece you receive.
