A quiet corner for reading
This reading majlis takes the low seating of a Saharan living room and sizes it for one person. A mattress on the floor, a cushion behind your back and an armrest at your side: everything you need to settle in with a book, relax, or spend a calm moment at home.
The fabric is mustard yellow. The mattress, the back cushion and the armrest all carry the same design: a diamond medallion framed by geometric borders in navy blue and ivory.
What is in the set
- Mattress: 95 × 70 × 10 cm (37.4 × 27.6 × 3.9 in), the seat itself.
- Back cushion: 90 × 43 cm (35.4 × 16.9 in), set against the wall to support your back.
- Armrest: 49 × 20 × 20 cm (19.3 × 7.9 × 7.9 in), for extra comfort at your side.
Materials
- Filling: Dolidol high-density foam (HD, 5-stamp grade), chosen for comfort and durability.
- Cover: quality upholstery fabric that is soft to the touch and gives the set an elegant finish.
What makes it a good choice
- Comfortable for long sittings: the high-density foam stays supportive.
- Good back support: the wide cushion holds your back while you read.
- Traditional design: inspired by the floor seating of Saharan majlis.
- A practical size: it fits a bedroom corner, a living room or a small apartment.
- Easy to move and arrange: three separate pieces you can set up wherever you like.
The book, the lanterns and the floor lamp shown in the photos are not included. Furnishing a whole room? See our Sahara Living Rooms.
