This policy explains what personal information TAZRIRT collects when you visit tazrirt.com, order from us or write to us, why we use it, and the choices you have.

1. Who is responsible for your information

TAZRIRT is a Moroccan handmade rug brand based in Morocco. TAZRIRT is responsible for the personal information collected through tazrirt.com. For any question about this policy or your information, write to us through the Contact page.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us

• Orders: your name, email address, phone number, billing and delivery address, the rug you order with its size and options, and any note you add.
• Account: if you create an account, your email address, your password (stored in encrypted form) and your order history.
• Messages: what you send us through the forms on this website, by email or on WhatsApp, including photographs or measurements of your space.
• Trade and wholesale inquiries: your name, email address, company, country and the details of your project or request.

Information collected automatically

• Technical data: IP address, browser and device type, pages visited and the date and time of the visit, recorded in server logs kept by our hosting provider for security and troubleshooting.
• Cookies and local storage: see section 5.

We do not ask for, and ask you not to send us, sensitive information that is not needed for your order.

3. How we use your information

• To take, prepare, weave and deliver your order, and to send you updates about it, including photographs of your rug in progress.
• To take payment and to prevent fraud.
• To answer your questions and handle returns, refunds and claims.
• To reply to trade and wholesale inquiries.
• To keep the website secure and working, and to improve it.
• To meet our legal obligations, such as accounting and customs paperwork.

Where the law requires a legal basis, we rely on the contract we have with you (your order), on our legitimate interest in running and protecting our shop, on our legal obligations and, where needed, on your consent.

We only send marketing emails if you have asked to receive them, and you can stop them at any time.

4. Who we share it with

We share your information only with the services that are needed to run the shop and deliver your order:

• Stripe, which processes card payments. Your card details go directly to Stripe.
• Delivery carriers and customs authorities, which receive your name, address and phone number to deliver your rug and clear it through customs.
• Our hosting provider, which stores the website and its data.
• Google, which serves the fonts used on this website and the YouTube videos embedded on some pages. Your browser contacts Google to load them.
• WhatsApp (Meta) and our email provider, when you choose to contact us that way.
• Authorities, when the law requires it.

We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers.

5. Cookies

This website uses cookies and similar storage that are needed for the shop to work:

• to keep the contents of your cart and your wishlist,
• to keep you signed in to your account,
• to estimate delivery for your country,
• to remember how you arrived on the website when you place an order,
• to help Stripe secure payments and prevent fraud at checkout.

We do not currently use advertising or analytics trackers. If that changes, we will update this policy and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent first. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the cart and checkout need them to work.

6. How long we keep it

• Order information is kept for as long as needed to serve you and to meet legal and accounting obligations.
• Messages and inquiries are kept for as long as needed to answer you and follow up.
• You can ask us to delete your information sooner; we will do so unless the law requires us to keep it.

7. International transfers

TAZRIRT is based in Morocco, and some of our service providers are located in other countries. Your information can therefore be processed outside the country where you live. We work with established providers and share only what is needed.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example in the European Union, the United Kingdom, Canada or California), you have rights over your personal information, including the right to:

• know what information we hold about you and receive a copy,
• have it corrected or deleted,
• object to, or ask us to limit, certain uses,
• withdraw a consent you have given,
• complain to the data protection authority of your country.

To use any of these rights, write to us through the Contact page. We will not treat you differently for doing so.

9. Security

The website uses an encrypted connection (HTTPS), and access to order information is limited to the people who need it to serve you. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.

10. Children

This website is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our practices or the law change. The date of the last update is shown at the top of the page.
