Named after Rissani, the old market town of the Tafilalt, this quarter circle sets one large rose red sun, spun from red and white twisted yarn, inside a field of black and ivory. Bold and warm, it brings a spot of colour to a pale wall.

Made by hand, one of a kind

Every quarter circle is made by hand in our workshop. Black and ivory yarn is twisted together, then laid down row by row so the lines seem to move like wind on sand. The sun is coiled separately into a spiral and set into the field, and the whole piece is finished with a navy cotton edge. The piece in the photos is the exact piece you receive.

Handwoven in the Heart of Morocco

Where Fatima’s Heritage Lives, and Morocco’s Stories Are Woven.

Every rug begins long before the loom. Press play and watch one take shape.

The Tazrirt family of artisans in the Atlas Mountains: hands carding wool, the weavers at home, and the land around them.

The Story Behind TAZRIRT®

Before TAZRIRT® became a brand, it was a story quietly woven in the heart of Morocco.

In the small town of Abi Al-Jaad, Fatima, a master artisan, spent years crafting rugs by hand, following techniques passed down through generations of Amazigh women.

Every knot carried patience.Every pattern carried meaning.Every rug carried a piece of home.
