Terms and Conditions

These terms apply when you visit tazrirt.com or order from TAZRIRT. They are written to be read: please take a few minutes before you place an order.

1. Who we are

TAZRIRT is a Moroccan handmade rug brand based in Morocco. In these terms, “TAZRIRT”, “we” and “us” mean the brand that runs this website and sells the products on it. “You” means the person visiting the website or placing an order.

2. Our products

• Our rugs are woven by hand in Morocco. No two are identical: small variations in colour, size, pile and pattern are part of a handmade product and are not defects.
• We photograph our rugs as faithfully as we can, but colours can look different from one screen to another.
• Rugs are sold in three ways: Ready to Ship (already woven, in the size shown), Made to Order (one of our designs, woven in the size you choose) and Custom Made (designed with you). The type is shown on each rug page.

3. Orders

• By placing an order, you confirm that the details you give are accurate and that you are allowed to use the payment method.
• After you order, you receive a confirmation by email. An order is accepted once payment has been received.
• We may refuse or cancel an order, for example if a rug is no longer available, if there is an obvious error in a price or a description, or if a payment cannot be verified. If we cancel an order you have paid for, you are refunded in full.
• For a Made to Order rug, you are responsible for the size and the options you enter. Please measure your space before ordering; we are glad to help you choose.

4. Prices and payment

• Prices are shown in US dollars (USD).
• The price of a Made to Order rug depends on its style and its surface. The rug page calculates it for the exact size you enter, before you order.
• Shipping is free, and import duties and taxes are included. The total shown at checkout is the amount you pay.
• Payment is made by card through our payment provider, Stripe. We do not see or store your full card number.
• Discount codes cannot be combined unless we say so, and they have no cash value.

5. Custom Made orders

• A Custom Made rug is created from what we agree with you: design, colours, size, shape and details. Weaving starts once you have approved the design and the price.
• If you send us a drawing, a logo or a photograph to work from, you confirm that you have the right to use it.
• A Custom Made order cannot be cancelled, returned or exchanged once production has begun, except for a manufacturing defect or shipping damage. See our Return & Refund Policy.

6. Production and delivery

Weaving and delivery times are given on each rug page and in our Shipping Policy. They are careful estimates, not guaranteed dates: handwork, customs checks and carriers can cause delays that are outside our control. We keep you informed if your order is delayed.

The risk of loss or damage passes to you when the rug is delivered to the address you gave.

7. Returns, refunds and cancellations

Your rights to return or cancel an order are set out in our Return & Refund Policy, which is part of these terms.

8. Care of your rug

A handwoven rug lasts when it is looked after. We are not responsible for damage caused by wear, accidents, incorrect cleaning or a use the rug was not made for. Our care guide explains how to look after a wool rug.

9. Using this website

• The texts, photographs, designs and the TAZRIRT name and logo belong to TAZRIRT or are used with permission. You may not copy or reuse them for commercial purposes without our written agreement.
• You agree not to misuse the website: no attempts to disrupt it, to access it without permission, or to place false orders.
• The website can contain links to other websites. We are not responsible for their content.

10. Our responsibility

We take care that the information on this website is accurate, but errors can happen and we may correct them at any time. To the extent the law allows, our liability for an order is limited to the amount you paid for it, and we are not liable for indirect losses. Nothing in these terms removes rights that the law of your country gives you as a consumer and that cannot be set aside by contract.

How we use your personal information is explained in our Privacy Policy.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Morocco. If a dispute arises, please contact us first: most questions can be solved directly and quickly. This does not affect any mandatory protection you have under the consumer law of the country where you live.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The version that applies to your order is the one published on this page on the day you order. The date of the last update is shown at the top.
